Kenmore dryer model 417.91100002 not drying on automatic

This machine will dry on timed dry but not on automatic "sensor" dry. Besides the moisture sensors, what else is a possible cause? Cycling thermostat?  It seems that the thermistor, hi limit thermostat, coils, ignitor are all working or it would not heat on timed dry.

Check the thermistors, inlet 50k ohms and outlet 5k ohms at room temp (70 to 80ish  deg f).  If the tech sheet is there check for error codes.

When you say it doesn't dry in automatic, is it because it is not getting hot, or shutting off too soon?
