My best friends wife just called me and asked for help to get her washer going again.  Just stopped on her.  I arrived to visually inspect the unit. Here’s what I found/did.

1. Power to the unit/ok

2. About 2 gallons of standing water in bottom of drum./. Removed it

3. Flipped unit on side to visually inspect bottom for broken belt.  Belt is ok

4. Turned pulley on drum / nothing happened. Drum didn’t spin on inside at all.

No what do I do.  Where do I begin to get this beast fixed?  Please help

Ask your self,  what is this machine not doing, that should be doing. Just from what you've described . I'm guessing not draining is the problem. So we are going to focus on the drain pump for the moment .

Did you try to pump the water out by putting it in drain ? If so Did the drain activate or hum . You can do a voltage test from the pump or the board . The pump should receive 120 vac . If it's receiving proper voltage and acting like it's trying to drain you may have something in your pump or the pump is dead. If your not getting voltage to the pump when it is in drain , you might want to check the wiring from the board to the pump for any breaks or of your getting voltage out of the board .
