Electrolux ELFW7637 washer question

I have a brand new Electrolux washer. Prior to that I had the same model from 3 years ago. Both are basically identical. Old one was used weekly and I know it well in terms of operations.

The new one did a fine job for a "colors" wash. No issues. However, on Normal/sanitize/normal soil/medium spin with extra rinse it showed total time as 94 minutes. It did some washing, then stopped at some point and started to show 45 minutes. It sayed that way showing 45 minutes for about (but I am not sure) 45 minutes. The timer was NOT counting down. At that time the washer continued to turn drum in clockwise and counter clockwise direction, some water was added, but the timer stayed on 45 minutes. Then the washer started to count down again and finished the load as normal. Total time was about 140 minutes or more.

I did another load after that on same settings and again 45 minutes on timer not counting down.

I am buffled. Is this normal? I know my 3 year old machine (EFLSE627UIW0) didn't do that. There is no mention of this in the manual of the new machine either.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

If the two machines were exactly the same they would have the exact same model numbers.

Machines equiped with microprocessors such as yours can be programed differently.

Nothing to worry about...

With the sanitize option, the water has to get very hot. If you are in a cold part of the country, it could take awhile for the washer to heat the water up, because the incoming cold water is much colder than the reat of the year.

Or you could be using too much detergent and it’s going through a de-suds routine.

Yes machine is pausing to heat water
