Dishwasher won’t start cycle. Thinking it’s door lock mechanism, but want to try to put in diagnostic mode to be sure. Used another model’s service manual and got into diagnostics, but then the diagnostic designated keys wouldn’t respond. Want to make sure I don’t have a bad UI or Control board. Need to do this right.

It ended up that a stuck button was causing the problem. Needed to pop off the plastic facia panel around the control buttons and clean up all the sticky stuff. Was really hard to figure out how to pop off that panel to access those buttons without breaking any tabs. Ended up breaking some tabs along the way. Used some super glue to resecure.  If anyone has a better way please let me know. Thank you
