overheating (c-21 code) samsung NE58k9850 range

I got an overheating Samsung DUO range.  When I turned it on to 350 and put a meat thermoter in the oven  the tempture is all over the place.  it will go up 30 degrees, drop 50 degrees.  I found it one time 450 degrees.

The heating element OHM tests good, the themp sensors ohm test good.  The fans are spinning.  The only thing left is the PCB?  Is that the likely cause?  can I test the PCB?  which relay operates the heating element?

also is the discloration around the lights normal?

An oven will never actually sit at the set temperature, it cycles above and below that temperature so that the average between the highs and lows is as close as possible to the set temperature. It might heat to 400 degrees, drop down to 300, and then do that over and over again = average temp 350F.

Are you experiencing actual issues with it, like food burning or not getting cooked? What prompted you to pop the meat thermometer in there to check the temp in the first place?

@2BALLGet yourself an analog thermometer, they are less sensitive and can give you a better idea of the median temp in the unit.

If you don't have a wire schematic, you can follow the element wires back to the board to determine which relay does what. It will likely be one of the big ones on the bottom. You have possibly three elements on this unit: Bake: (bottom), (broil) top and possibly convection(middle).

Yes.

Sounds like normal function. Ovens can’t hold one temperature. They constantly cycle on and off to maintain average set temperature.
