Dishwasher produces an IE error after a minute at the beginning of a cycle.  Water valve is turned on and you can hear the tub filling until the IE error and then you can hear the pump draining the tub and stop.

any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Goku,

The IE error is for the water inlet. The control believes that there is an issue with the flow rate of water coming into the unit. You should check for a dirty inlet valve screen, low water pressure, kinked water hose and the resistance on the inlet valve. You may also need to check the hall screen by measuring frequency as water enters the tub. This can be done in test mode.

The water inlet assembly was filthy so I cleaned it up but still getting 1e error

i can visually see water filling in the water inlet assembly now but could it be a faulty sensor somewhere.  Not sure how fast water is supposed to fill.  It’s not a kinked water supply hose.

I had also replaced the drain hose but could the problem be with the drain system ?

Make sure the hose at the bottom of the inlet assembly isn't plugged.

I believe the hose at the bottom right looking at the fill assembly is a passage directly to the bottom of the sump.  If the hose is plugged the inlet assembly fills with water too fast not letting it equalize into the sump and triggers most likely an overfill problem which turns the drain pump on.
