Samsung NY58J9850WS Dual Door Locked

Hi there -- the full door on our Samsung Dual Door range is locked. Only the middle-hinged upper door will open. I unplugged the range for about an hour hoping it would reset the locking mechanism but that didn't work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It sounds like the self clean feature was activated as thats the only reason the door lock motor will actuate around 650F. The motor is most likely seized so no it won’t rotate back. You would have to try and rock the door to the left or right to get the door to disengage. If that doesn’t work you would need to access the door lock and take it apart. If no self- clean operation at all. You might have an issue with the hinge as it appears you have to open the full range door with a certain motion.
