GE Bottom Freezer warming every 4 days (or so)

GE Profile Bottom Freezer Refrigerator model PFSF5PJX  Every four days, or so, the freezer warms up to the high 30's to low 40's (roughly 40 deg), and the refrigerator warms up to the low 40's (roughly 5 deg).  After about a day, both the freezer and fridge will return to their setpoint temps (0 and 37 deg respectively).  The fridge will function correctly for the next four days or so, and then repeat the cycle I just described.  It's been doing this for a few weeks.

Sounds like possibly a inverter intermittently failing.

Would need to test inverter inputs and outputs while in failed state.

Will do next time it warms up. Right now its cooling back down.  This is crazy, never seen anything like it!

I didn't have to wait long for it to start warming again.  The cycle described initially shortened quite a bit.  I tested the output of the motherboard to the inverter (5.4 volts), good.  I checked the three windings of the compressor and all were very close to seven ohms.  So I concluded that, as 16345Ed suggested, the inverter board was intermittently failing.  After replacing it, all seems well.  No problems for four days.  I still have trouble figuring out how the inverter would fail in rhythmic cycles like it did.  Very strange.

Thanks for the update! I wish I could get an inverter for one of my customer's. BlueStar is taking forever.
