how to Calibrate KitchenAid KDRP407 to add 15 deg F

Hello

I've determined that my KA KDPR407HSS oven's thermostat / brain is shutting down temps 15 degrees before the temp I set the oven to. I believe I need to calibrate the oven by adding +15 degrees but I don't know how.

Curious how did you make this determination?

 

Btw I don’t see adjustment procedures anywhere. Did you also test temperature sensor?

I did this over a number of nights, but I did it with 2 oven thermometers, and I did it at 250, 350, 400, 425, 450. The differences all pointed to the oven needing it to stay on for 15-22 more degrees, give or take a few. I was going to start with +15.

That’s not proper procedure for calibration. 
 

You need thermocouple in oven. Set oven to 350. Let oven cycle 4 times recording high and low temps don’t open door. Throw out first set of numbers. Then average other six numbers to get your average oven temperature.
