3-4 year old Miele Dishwasher has developed what can be best described as a booming base type noise that reverberates throughout the kitchen and eating area, kind of negating the whole point of buying a Miele dishwasher to begin with...

Noise is not constant.  Seems to "pulse".  Ie:  Doesn't make the noise, then it does for a second or two, and then it goes away, comes back, etc...  Seems to be during the main part of the wash.

Filters are maintained, and cleaner is used in the unit every few months.

Any tips?  Ideas?  Things I should tear into to clean?  Or is it just a noisy circulation motor and I should live with it (unhappily)?
