LG dishwasher drain problem LDP6797ST

So I got an LG dishwasher (Ldp6797st) that started to show the OE/DE error message. After some googling I thought it's an easy fix, ordered a new drain pump on Amazon and the next day I received it. The new one didn't come with a seal so I just removed the old one and put it on the new pump. First issue I had was I got LE error message. And it still didn't drain. Turned power off, to reset the machine, removed the pump and torned the drain setting on. Pump worked good. Put the pump back in the mA hone, added some water and turned drain setting back on. Pump only runs for a couple second and then stops for 5 seconds. Does not drain any water out of the tub and the pump is slightly leaking. Do I have a faulty pump? Anything else I can check?

Thanks in advance

Did you check the old pump out of the unit to see if it works, Could be that you received a defective pump,

When I remove the new pump from its housing and turn the drain setting on it spins as it should. When I do the same with the old pump it tries to start spinning but doesn't get a fill rotation. When installed in the dishwasher they do the same thing, try to pump but nothing comes out the drain hose. I checked the drain hose by blowing into it and there are no obstructions in the hose.

You may want to check the section in to the drain pump from the machine
