Sears Kenmore Dryer (Canadian) 592.89032 won't shut off on it's own

Hi and thanks in advance you any help/suggestions provided.

 

I believe that this is a Samsung made Kenmore dryer.  It currently does not shut it self off when drying using either a timed dry or the auto sensing dry.  It does shut off if I open the door.

 

About a month ago it would shut itself off towards the end of a drying cycle and display a HE error code.  The unit felt a bit hotter than usual.  I cleaned out the duct work (it was bad) and found the there was a lot of lint build up in the lint trap area.  The shop vac and some smaller sized vacuum wands were my friend here.  I was surprised at how much lint I pulled out.

 

No HE error code now, but it does not shutoff.  Floundering through thinks on google seem to suggest the control board.

 

Does this sound right?

Most likely is a welded relay on main control. Need to test relay with meter to verify.

Sometimes you can tap the relay with handle end of screwdriver to free relay. Might work for a week or two years.

That seems to have done the trick.  Hopefully it will last more than a week or two.
