Have a 20 year old Whirlpool fridge (model # in subject line above) not cooling. At all.  Coils in rear of freezer compartment are not frozen over.  Every 2.5 minutes or so, I hear a buzzing noise that sounds like the ice maker calling for water (Ice maker IS NOT connected ) that lasts for 18 or so seconds.   Then silence until another 2.5 minutes when the process repeats itself.

I'm thinking this may be a malfunctioning starter relay and/or the solenoid that's attached to it.  I've seen some sort of 3 in 1 replacement kit advertised by a company called Supco, but there are several different models out there.

A.  Would this 3 in 1 starter replacement kit be a good option (by "good", I mean cheap and easy) to try and B. which kit, with which specifications, would I need to obtain??

TIA.

You would be better off with a oem style start group.

You're right.  Should be ET8MTKXKQ0.  Thank you for catching that.
