You have actually already started. Failed the spin by hand test. Is there any vertical play in the drum? Remove the back cover then remove the rotor to see if the rotor is causing the jam. Most likely the tub bearings seized.

Thanks for the reply.  Attempting vertical play and everything seems normal, it moves with resistance up and down but i can feel the drum maintaining its centered position.  Moving it up it settles back down to center, moving it down it settles itself up to the position of center.  No feeling of friction, resistance or shifting.  Movement is firm but smooth always settling back to center.  I will attempt to get to opening soon, also have to do a minor roof repair which is higher priority at the moment.

Thanks again.
