Asko Dishwasher D5436 XLS Upper Spray Arm Assembly Install

The original upper spray arm assembly fell off.   It was comprised of an upper half of rubber material and a bottom half of metal.  Sandwiched between the 2 halve is a counter-threaded bearing (unlike the lower arm which pressure fits onto the water supply).  The rubber material became very brittle and eventually broke away from the bearing.

My replacement arm arrived today (after weeks of backorder) and the assembly has a plastic upper half and plastic lower half (see attached picture.  The bearing looks identical to the old bearing and it makes sense that Asko redesigned to solve the brittle upper half problem.  But its not clear how to reattach.  Most obvious is to separate the upper and lower half, attach the upper half to the water supply line by counter-threading the bearing onto the water supply through the hole in the upper half, then reattaching the lower half of the assembly to the upper half.  HOWEVER, since there is no guidance that I can find anywhere (even from ASKO service provider) I don't know if I am right and I am afraid of breaking the assembly when I separate the two halves.

Does anyone know how to replace the upper spray arm assembly for an ASKO D5436XLS?
