KUDM01TJBS0 KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER Does not start. Flashing rinse only button.

KUDM01TJBS0.  Kitchen Aid dishwasher.   Does not start for a year or so.  Never found out why but it would usually run drain cycle but not wash cycle when pressing drain button.

Yesterday, had no flashing lights and started and finished one full wash and drain cycle once but only once.  Now has flashing light at rinse only button and does not start.  If I press cancel/drain button, that button also flashes but does not drain.    If I turn off the circuit breaker and wait and turn back on, still have flashing rinse only button.   I suspect it is the touch pad.  But is it really the control board?  How to diagnose?   New control board not available.  Thanks.
