GE CYE22TSHGSS has no damper assembly for meat drawer?

Our GE CYE22TSHGSS was not cooling and the meat drawer was freezing.  I assumed from the spec sheet that I needed to replace both the Evaporator Fan Motor and the Damper and Fan Assembly.

But when I opened the panel, there was only one port behind it and there was no "damper assembly". There was only a fan. The plug was also different. This screen-capture from the AppliancePartsPros installation video shows two ports in the wall.

Is my refrigerator a different version of the CYE22TSHGSS?

After some online sleuthing, it looks as if my model uses this evaporator cover: WR17X27084 / AP6246041.

Do I need to replace the whole cover to fix the freezing issue with the deli drawer?

@GVlog did you resolve the problem with the Fresh Food section not cooling but Deli drawer freezing?

The proper way to approach this is to test the FF fan to see if it’s getting power and visual see if it runs.

If fan not running but has voltage then the fan is the issue. See this a lot.

The fan not running causes all the frost as machine continues to run and try to satisfy sensor.

Old topic. The original issue was fixed in August 2022 by just replacing the Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor (WR60X26866 / AP6278228).

Fast-forward to today and the refrigerator is now running colder and there is mild ice build-up visible in the port of the Evap Cover Assembly (WR17X27084 / AP6246041).  I'll start a new topic.
