My Maytag washer has been stopping mid cycle the last couple loads.

my kids were using, the door is unlocked but the bottom is full of dirty water and the timer is in the middle of the cycle. This is couple hours later in one case.

if I advance the timer to the last rinse and drain and press start it will drain.

how ever stops again next cycle.

seems to me that the timer is gone, does this model have an electric motor on the timer?
any direction greatly appreciated

Found a flow chart on servicing the pressure switch for water filling and found a note about the washer shutting down for low water pressure  if filling takes longer then 6-8 minutes.

and I had just cleaned my intake  screen as the washer had been slow to fill (washer is on platform have to remove to access back.)

put back together and it runs! Sure glad I didn’t need that expensive timer!

also odd. The back of the unit said the model number was mah4000aww instead of 3000.
