microwave smoke after magnetron replacement

just changed the magnetron on a ge microwave.  there is heat but a lot of smoke as well.  checked the wave guide plate. no Mark's. checked the cap on magnetron, no burn mark. any suggestions.

Where is the smoke coming from inside the cavity, inside the mag, transformer area. The smoke smell electrical of like food or grease?
