A207 won't spin more than 3 seconds. Resets quickly but same 3 second cutoff. Suspect start capacitor, but all positions on timer work fine with motor running okay. 50 year old Maytag washer otherwise runs like a dream. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What are the resistance readings across each of the motor windings? Also, have you tested the capacitor compared to its rating?
