LG model LRG4113ST gas range door won’t stay all the way shut

While using this oven once it gets to temperature, the door opens slightly, oven light comes on, and an alarm goes off.  We lean on the door and it stops, but happens again a few minutes later.  A real pain if you’re baking/roasting for a long period of timeOf course we bought this thing at Home Depot and it’s out of warranty.  The gasket is slightly hard on one side, could this cause the problem?

I might replace the gasket and the hinges. You could try to remove and reseat the door and see if it's just a little out of alignment, but it's more than likely the springs on the hinges heating up and not holding the door tight.

Thanks, is this something I can do by myself?  Or might I be able to find a video to guide me through it?

This isn't the exact hinge but the procedure is the same. It doesn't look like those hinges are available as an OEM replacement and you may need to go aftermarket. The hinge part number you're looking for is AEH72957512

Thanks, I'll take a look and if I decide to try this will let you know how I do.
