Just bought this used 2020 Frigidaire from a condo total moveout

to replace a 2010 Whirlpool because the Whirlpool hadn't failed me yet,

and I needed something to repair. (haha)

This Frigidaire FFTR1835VBO freezer cools until reaching 0 degrees and stops,

then doesn't kick on until freezer compartment reachs 20-22 degrees.

The refrigerator compartment maintains around 38 degrees based on my setting

of just below the Recommended center setting.

Any input appreciated since retired, and fixed income homeownership of 86 yr. old houses

has its budgetary limits.

Update: I furnished incorrect info about this issue. When the cooling components of the fridge turn off at 0 degrees freezer temp, and do not turn on until freezer reaches 20-22 degrees, the refrigerator section ALSO climbs in temp from 38 to 45 degrees. Cooling components then turn off with freezer at 0 degrees and fridge section at 38. Then repeats the temp climb before cycling on.

Is this refrigerator in use? It sounds like there's no food in it. How are you measuring the temperatures?

Freezer 4/5 full of food, fridge 1/2.....measuring with a known-to-be-accurate analog thermometer.
