[Bosch WTA3510US Dryer] How to remove belt pulley from drive motor shaft

Recommended Posts

I have an older Bosch Axxis dryer that was making a really loud noise when running. I investigated and found one of the bearings on the drive motor shaft is completely shot (the one in the center of the first photo). I want to replace the bearing but I can't figure out how to remove the belt pulley on the end of the shaft. Any suggestions? The shaft is completely smooth so there's no great place to bite onto it. Is the pulley normally threaded (or reverse threaded) or is it a press fit? How do I keep the shaft from spinning so I can turn the pulley?

Thanks in advance.

Since the motor comes with the pulley have never tried to take one off. From the looks of your pictures the pulley is probably pressed on.
