Remove top from Samsung WA5471 top load washer

I have a Samsung WA5471 top load washer - this is one of the "exploding" Samsungs from a few years ago.  I opted for the repair option and I recall the tech that installed the repair saying something like "after I install the repair kit, this top will be impossible to remove."

Fast forward to today and the washer is having trouble finishing cycles due to the load becoming unbalanced.  I want to pull the top and check the condition of the suspension rods but I can't figure out how to get the top off.  According to the service manual on page 13 I should be able to lift and push the top forward after removing the two plates from the back that secure the top to the body of the washer.

Any ideas?

Sorry - typo in the subject and body.  It's a Samsung WA5451, not WA5471.

Took awhile to find the info. Both of the models you listed use the bolt and nut style upgrade. Been a few years since i've done any recalls and only did a couple of this style. Believe you have to push the tub out of the way to undo the bolts. Front right and left rear of top are bolted to the cabinet.
