Whirlpool Duet Sport WFW8300SW04 F-01 Error

Let me start off by saying what a valuable resource this is here, so thanks in advance!

Whirlpool washer started growling during wash cycle.  I suspected drum bearings and confirmed my suspicion.  Replaced bearings and seal, re-assembled and went to run a cycle to test/rinse residual crud.  Washer turned on just fine with normal response from dial/buttons, but when I went to start a cycle by pushing and holding start button I would get a long beep and power would turn off.  Went into service history mode and found the F-01 error code which was the only code saved.  Machine would not go into diagnostic test mode after service history mode and would just turn off.  I ended up de-soldering the relay from the door lock circuit on the CCU and testing it, I believe it was bad.  Ordered a new relay (in addition to 2 new main relays) from Mouser and replaced.  Still the same issue when I tested again.

I stumbled upon the 'Troubleshooting Whirlpool Duet Washer That Won't Start' page and started to regain hope as it seemed to have more advanced troubleshooting/repair info.  Door switch tests fine, and without advanced service information I'm throwing this hail mary and hoping for the best!

I'm an RF technician and have above average electro-mechanical aptitude, so feel free to lay it on thick if you'd like.  While my wife would love a new washer at this point, I'm not quite willing to throw in the towel, even if it hasn't been washed for 2 weeks.

Thanks again.

F01 usually means a bad control board on this model.

Right, my hope is to repair the control board if possible instead of just replacing it outright.  I realize that if the EEPROM is corrupt I’m dead in the water anyway.  So hoping for more advanced board/system diagnostic info if possible.  Thanks though!
