Kenmore/whirlpool direct drive 110.22932100 oil stains on clothes

Hi I was hoping to get some advice on my old kenmore labeled whirlpool direct drive it has started leaving oil spots on the clothes occasionally. I removed the agitator and it looks like it might have some black oil grease around the seal. It also seems like it may be spraying oil underneath as there is a spray pattern on the inside of the cabinet.

You've got a leaking transmission. Part # 3360629

May want to consider sending your old tranny in to be rebuilt. New transmissions are noisy. Molds are getting old is what I’m told.

Appreciate the responses I definitely was expecting new tranny. My only other concern is how the leaking transmission would put oil up into the basket with the clothes.  I guess I’m wondering if the seal at the top of the spin tube might be bad? Like how would the transmission out oil up into the basket?

Need to check the bearing and seals in the basketdrive and in the support # 280184

Oh boy I hope it’s not the support. I should have time tomorrow to pull the drum tomorrow 🤞

You are correct, no way for transmission oil to get into the basket in this model, there really isn't oil in the tub support either but if it's worn sludge could be coming out if water is leaking into it
