Jenn-Air JEC0530ADS13 Front-right burner issue

Good Afternoon all!

I am chasing an issue with my Jenn-Air JEC0530ADS13 electric cooktop and could use some help.

The history:   We noticed that the front-right burner on the range, which is the dual-power "Custom Control" burner, would turn on and turn red when we hit the button, but after ~10-15 seconds (when the burner was just starting to get warm), the burner would shut off.  The control panel would remain illuminated as normal and the fan would continue to run.  The burner would not heat as normal.

Action taken so far:  I replaced the heating element with the currently available Whirlpool P/N 7406P394-60  dual-element.  Per the instructions that came with the new heating element, I swapped the 'Epic Sensor' from the old element into the new one.  Upon first trial run the behavior was the same as before -  control panel lights up as normal, elemnt turns on and glows red for ~10-15 seconds, then element cuts out while control panel remains illuminated and cooling fan continues running.  I tried it a second time and got the same results.  I ran it a third time (this time so my wife could bear witness), this time allowing it to stay on a bit longer, and this time not only did the element switch itself off but the controls went dark as well.  Now, I am unable to turn on that element at all.  Meanwhile, the other four heating elements and their controls continue to work properly.

Now I am starting to think that the original heating element was OK all along, but there was/is a problem with the control board.  Now that the controls for that element won't work at all, I'm wondering/concerned that something additional in the control board has gone bad.  I noticed various white colored 'blocks' on the main control board -  I presume these are relays and/or sensors?  Any tips on where I should be looking next would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE:  After some time  (maybe 20-30 minutes), I went back to the cooktop and tried turning on the front-right element again, and that time it turned on; however, it once again stayed on for only ~15 seconds before shutting itself off as previously reported, with the controls remaining illuminated and cooling fan continuing to run.

UPDATE2:  I went back into the cooktop and this time checked the resistance of the 'Epic Sensor', which again was swapped over from the old heating element to the new one.  I also checked the resistance of the new Epic Sensor that came with the replacement heating element.  Both sensors tested out in the range of 1060-1080 Ohms which I believe is within acceptable range based on a discussion on the topic that I read somewhere (but of course cannot currently find).  So taking the above to be true, now I know that the Epic Sensor is good, and I am using a brand new heating element which is good, then I am led to believe that the issue must lie with the control board.  But I am curious to get some feedback on this before I invest more money into a replacement control board.
