Dishwasher (Siemens) pumps out the water but then stops... no water movement

Hello,
We have a weird problem and would love some help! Our Siemens dishwasher has suddenly stopped pumping water into itself at the beginning of the cycle. It pumps any remaining water out, but then it does no more.
I have created a video of the problem here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ax...m&usp=drive_fs
We have checked the tap and water is coming in at the source. It just seems weird that one end of the inlet pipe is connected to high-pressure running water and at the other end... nothing is coming out. Have checked for pipe kinks and have cleaned the filter in the inlet pipe.
What on earth could be stopping the water from working?!
Any help would be much appreciated,
Hashamyim
