Staber HXW2304 motor not running properly

Recommended Posts

Ive had this machine since about 2006 and so far have only had to replace bearings.  Other than that it's been good until today..  the motor that spins the basket only runs for about a second at various different stages of the different cycles as opposed to what it used to do which was spin back and forth.  Also it does nothing at the end on any of the spin cycles, it used to progressively ramp up in speed.  I'm guessing it's the motor controller or motor but not sure how to tell which one.  Staber is supposed to be end user repairable but they will not allow me to talk to an actual technician or anyone who can understand my questions.  I am fairly decent with electronics, even enough that I could probably repair the board if I had schematics or at least a good description of how it's supposed to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
