See pic. I have this black wire that comes up with the others that attach to main switch. I have looked at pics of others wired and cannot find where this attaches. Does anyone have schematic?

Yes it is. I believe my timer is going bad. I’ve checked everything. It just sporadically works one minute, then quits. Switch to different dry cycles until one works. I’m looking for a timer switch schematic. I’ve noticed that some parts for this thing are discontinued while the others are very hard to find. The dryers only 8 or 9 years old.

That is very possible ,  speed queen lost their timer supplier so once all the parts places sell their stock you have to buy a kit that converts the dryer to the new style timer,  it comes with a whole new wiring harness with a belt switch that you have to add.  My advice would be to get the original timer if someone has it ,  even if it is pricey it’s better than rewiring the whole machine
