LG MODEL# WM2501HVA FRONT LOAD ERROR CODE "OE" AND WON'T SPIN/DRAIN

During a wash cycle, washer began beeping and showed "OE" on the display.  I checked the drain and filter which appear good.  Manual says to try running a spin only cycle and make sure the pump runs.  I shut it off, turned it on and selected spin only and hit start.  I initially could hear pump and water draining.  Washer never entered spin cycle.  No movement at all, just a fairly loud noise which I assume is the drain pump running. Not sure what to check/test to determine if I have a drain pump issue or something with the drive causing the no-spin condition.  Any help appreciated.  Thank you.

From your description the filter is clear and drain pump running but no draining. The possibilities are blocked drain hose, blocked inlet hose or a pump issue. Most common is the impeller is loose on the motor shaft.

I agree with Vance. Plus, LG is known to have weak drain pumps.

Forgot about this thread.  I assumed that the filter was good as I had cleaned it out recently.  I did check the drain hose (no kinks) and tried to drain the washer using the lower drain hose by the filter on the bottom front of washer.  Decided to remove the filter just to double check it was clear.  There was quite a bit of water that drained out of the filter housing and when I got it out the filter was completely plugged.  There were a couple of rugs being washed and they had a rubber type backing.  The backing broke apart into a mess of little rubber pieces that completely clogged the filter.  Had I checked the filter like I was supposed to, and not assumed it was clear, I would have had this fixed quickly.  I'm usually not this careless, and members on this site have helped me fix numerous appliances over the years.  Really appreciate all the help and apologize for being an idiot.  Thanks!
