serviced eccotemp 4 gallon countertop water heater - insulated boot missing

I serviced my eccotemp 4 gallon electric countertop water heater, which supplements the central hot water in my condo, replaced the anode rod, cleaned - on the two spade type wire connection that goes to the electric heating element in the tank, one of the 90 degree rubber boots came off the spade terminal, which now shows the bare element connection on that side since the boot is missing. Eccotemp does not have this part, and could only tell me it is there for safety.  I have been trying to find insulated 90 degree "insulated boot" to go over this now bare connection.  I assume this was present due to the possibility of water getting past the rubber seal of the element housing and hitting the electric connection. All I seem to see is the complete wire boot with the electrical connection already installed - this area probably gets hot also near the heating element - what is the best thing to do here? Very amateur electrician here -
