Ice maker in bottom drawer conflict, bent sensor wire, or design issue

Recommended Posts

Trying to troubleshoot a problem with the ice maker bin sensor. The video shows the main issue. Wire rubs on drawer lip. Also drags cubes when drawer is pulled out. Then the cube obstruct the ability to close the bottom freezer drawer. Not sure if the wire was bent. I looked if the ice maker can be raised or drawer lowered. Drawer appears to be fixed and not adjustable.

Only thing I considered but not done yet is try to raise the ice maker. Possibly within the slots.  Has no issue making ice. But design of the ice bin full sensor drops when drawer is pulled out. Then continues to make more ice.

Any insight or sharing of experience to this would be appreciated.
