Quick Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 @vee8powerand @Son of SamuraiI don't think that's my machine? I have a triple inlet water valve on this one. I was hoping to review the schmatic and install a double valve that I have several of. ( Shop job old school customer) Any old way I don't think Pub 31-16576 is what I need in this case.
Team Samurai Son of Samurai Posted March 7, 2023 Team Samurai Posted March 7, 2023 That's the mini manual that GE says applies to your model. Possible they have it indexed wrong, but there's not much we can do if they have. Anyone else able to confirm or deny if this is the correct tech sheet?
Quick Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 @Son of Samurai Cold valve hums but won't let the water enter the tub. No big deal. I'll just order the three way valve. Thanks
vee8power Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I know this is not the discussion forum but I can tell you how to use the 2 solenoid valve and allow your customer to get actual hot water into their machine. The 3 solenoids on the triple valve are hot, full cold, and partial cold. To identify them, start a hot water wash; while filling, there will be 2 solenoids energized, the hot and the partial cold. You can tell those 2 apart if you need to by disconnecting one of those 2 and checking the temperature. The third solenoid, full cold, will be energized during rinse fill and cold wash fill. Once you have identified which is which, you can use the 2 solenoid valve, leaving the wire pair for the partial cold dissconnected. There is no temperature sensing circuitry, so this modification won't cause any problems; I've done this successfully on this era of GE washer and made my customers happy that they have hot water back 1
