Not sure if it’s the control or door switch. My gut says control because I don’t have to open and close the door to restart it. Last night I had to resume the cycle two times. Anyone know if there’s some service pointers or something about the issue?

I try to avoid Kenmore appliances due to poor support ever since Sears went under. I think you can rule out the door switch. I would suspect the drain pump first.

Why drain pump specifically?

Posted

The drain pump operates several times throughout a cycle to empty the dirty water. If it gets weak (or the drain hose becomes partially clogged), the water will not drain enough to allow the cycle to continue.
