My washer is making a grinding noise only during the wash cycle during agitation. The agitator dogs catch when turning by hand. Spin cycle is good, spins the clothes dry and the noise only happens during agitation. Video of noise attached for reference. What could be causing this noise?

My computer will notoriously never play video from this site, so I can't listen to the recording. That said, I would suspect a weak shift actuator might be failing to fully disengage the splutch.

I wonder what the model number is 🤷

You need to inspect belt and splutch.

Gotta go with everyone else, sound's like your splutch isn't full engaging
