LG Dryer DLEX4000b, control panel intermittently inoperable with dryer still running

After starting dryer, control panel lights will go out, and power/start buttons don’t do anything. Dryer will continue to run. Just now, instead of going out, all the lights on the control panel started blinking with a chime(video attached). Cycling the breaker seems to reset the dryer and it will work for a short time.  Trying to figure out if the whole control panel is likely bad or where to start troubleshooting. Dryer is stacked in a closet so want to have some idea what to start with before pulling it out. Thanks in advance!

That sounds like a DC wiring short. Look for pinched or loose connectors.

I had a control panel issue on a sister model LG in a closet install where side exhaust was poorly installed.  About 2 years old.  The build up of dried lint on the PCB caused erratic operation (depending on the internal humidity).  Removing the control panel and cleaning the PCB (alcohol) corrected the problem.  However a full tear down and cleaning was required as there was excessive lint buildup elsewhere in the dryer.  There was very little lint accumulation outside the dryer, btw.
