2 Questions

Trying to diagnose a mess with a language barrier to boot.  Small hotel using a couple of these for about 2 years now.  No coin meters.  Only used by housekeeping, not guests.  Owner has lost the tubular keys.  Anybody know which key I need?  I do very little commercial laundry equipment and am inexperienced concerning tubular locks and keys, but I have a Valley-Dynamo Commercial Air Hockey Table and it uses a J8045 key.

Complaint is "not spinning sometimes".  Because of the relay of information through multiple parties who don't speak a common language, I interpret that to mean laundry still very wet at end of cycle due to unbalanced loads.  Pulled all the errors out of the memories to look for "Unb" error (unbalanced load).  The only errors were Er1b (door lock) and Err5 (slow fill) and were extremely sporadic.  Approx 4 errors every six months.  The manual says "some" errors are cleared when the start button is pressed, but doesn't specify which ones.  Does anyone know if "Unb" errors aren't retained in memory?  (Everything except the error history points to unbalanced loads.  5000 cycles each and it's safe to say the shocks have never been replaced.  Plus I'm pretty sure they overload the daylights out of these machines.)

You need to verify the complaint. Does it spin out? I've seen these washer have rusty bearings with even less use than that. Check for rust spots around the bearing. With the slow fill code, I'd check the screen on the water inlets. I've had a dead motor on this model too. With the door lock error, if it doesn't lock, it may not go into high spin. These are the things I would inspect.

I seem to vaguely remember a key code with some 1s in it. like 11000 or something. Call your Alliance dealer.

Thanks for the hint on the bearings, etc.  I still need to ascertain whether "Unb" errors stay in memory or not.  That information goes a long way to support or contradict the other elements of the diagnosis.

Not sure about if it stays in memory or not. You can always tie up some bath towels in a ball and wash it. See what happens. Info in manuals is limited. Call Alliance Laundry Systems tech support. They help laundromat owners who are usually the ones fixing it themselves, and who spend hundreds of thousands dollars on machinery.
