SubZero 550 Temperator Control Problem

Our refrigerator section of our SubZero 550 cools down to the right temperature but doesn't start running again until it gets to 50F. We have the dial set on 7.5 It cools down to 28F stops running but then doesn't start running again until it gets to 50F. We replaced the temperature controller and that didn't fix the problem.
