KitchenAid KEBS208DWH4 double wall oven - all interior lights out

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Our double ovens have lost all of the inside lights. Each oven has two lights, so 4 lights total. Yesterday the light on the left side of the lower oven went out but the other 3 were still on. I said "Oh, better get a bulb and replace that." But today, all 4 lights are out, so now I'm not sure I don't have a bigger problem. The lights don't come on when you open the door, nor do they come on when you press the "Oven Light" button on the panel.

This double oven is 20+ years old, and I've never had to replace a light or anything else in it. Other than the lights out, everything else is working just fine.

Should I start by checking/replacing the first light that failed, or is there somewhere else I should be looking?

The lights are in series electrically with each other. If one goes out so will the others. I would check each bulb till you find the culprit . You also have a light transformer and the appliance manager board in the same circuit.

I would check the other bulbs though as I said when one goes out usually the others grow dim or out completely as they are in series together electrically I. The circuit

Daniel,

Thanks for the tip. I pulled all of the bulbs and found that two are burned out. I have replacements on order, and should be back in business soon.

Thanks,

Jeff.
