Whirlpool Top-Load Washer skips rinse cycle - fills then drains - Model WTW4930XW1

Model WTW4930XW (or WTW4930XW1 as per tag).

We have had this model since 2011. I replaced the rotary water temperature switch some years ago and last summer, replaced the suspension rods. The washer has operated normally after these minor repairs until recently.

Now, as in the title, the washer will fill, complete the wash cycle and drain, as expected. It will fill up again normally for the rinse cycle and then drain immediately once full. It does not do a final spin. The door will then unlock once it is empty with the "Done" LED on, leaving the clothes unrinsed. It does this for each load.

I activated the diagnostic test mode and found no stored fault codes displayed (only the fill light flashed when I turned the knob for the fault codes). I pressed cancel to exit test mode (and to clear any fault codes).
I performed the automatic test mode and ran a full wash cycle with no clothing inside (extra small load in cold water).

It filled briefly, did the balance test (brief humming noise) then filled and agitated for the wash cycle.
Once the wash cycle completed, it drained and spun with no problem before filling briefly again and doing the balance test for the rinse.

As it was filling for the rinse cycle, I could hear the humming noise again as though it was balancing. This was after the initial balance test.

Then it drained without agitating. I do not think it filled completely for the rinse. It did the final spin and the lid unlocked when it was complete.

I activated the diagnostic test mode again and found no stored fault codes.

I checked the hose screens and neither was clogged or even partially obstructed. I reconnected and tested with the same result. I decided to purchase a new OEM Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet assembly (part #W10432353) and replaced the old one on my machine.

It's odd how it worked just fine and completed a full rinse cycle for about 4 loads before going back to the same problem. Could it be the Electonic Control Board?

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

Check the water flow rate, compare hot to cold. It sounds as if the solenoid valve for the rinse cycle may not be opening enough to satisfy the fill requirement.

This or the coil on the cold valve is going open after it has been activated for a bit of time so later in the cycle when at rinse it opens before the fill is finished but usually these kind of problems would throw a long fill code in diagnostics errors.
