Samsung wf45n5300aw/us front load washer woes

Hello,

I am having some difficulty fixing my front load washer.  It has a lot of the issues mentioned by other posters like freezing mid-cycle.  My stator was reading 12 ohms ( DC31-00111A ) but I tried a new one anyway (also 12 ohms) which didn't fix the problem.  I also replaced the drain pump and the PCB which also didn't help.  There are two blinking green lights on the PCB(  DC92-01982B   )

In addition to freezing mid-cycle, I can sometimes hear it humming like it wants to start spinning the motor but doesn't have enough starting power.  If I manually spin the rotor in the back sometimes I can kick start it and it will complete the wash.  When the motor won't start moving it reports the 3C2 error.  There are no obstructions to the spin.

In addition, sometimes it will try to draw in cold or hot water but will pause every few seconds during the initial fill.  When this happens it just gives up and pauses.  However, during test mode it fills fine for both hot and cold.  I also checked the resistance on the water inlet valves and they all test normal.

Kind of at my wits end and ready to take it to the curb.  It's only about five years old and got used at most once a week.

Is there bearing play in the tub? Have you looked into the rotor position sensor? Wiring harness damage? The intermittence of your issues and the action of moving it around that seem to change how it behaves points to the possibility of a wiring harness issue like a broken wire somewhere intermittently making contact and then breaking contact.

The rotor position sensor is attached to the stator and was replaced with no change.  My working diagnosis is that the inverter board has failed so I’m going to try another one.  I did a visual exam of the harness and did not notice any damage.  I’m not sure if there is bearing play in the tub but I don’t think that would be responsible for the issues I’m having.

Lots of times you won't see any visible damage to the harness - the wire strands break inside the insulation jacket at the clamping points and make and break contact as the harness moves around.

The harness isn't that expensive - good to just replace it, might take care of all your problems.

Thanks for the advice on the harness.  I will look around and see if I can find a new one.

Any updates on this repair? Just had a customer book service stating the washer will randomly stop (usually showing 30-20 mins left in the cycle) with no clear issues (drain pump fine, agitate and spin is fine when running, no error codes, etc. )
