Thermador Freezer Compressor Not Running - Advice Help, Manual, Wiring Diagram?

Recommended Posts

I have a Thermador Freezer T18fi800sp/58 (same as a Bosch B18fi800sp/58) that the compressor is not running. I have run both the compressor and the inverter on another system (the mating refigerator column), so I am sure they are functional. It appears the inverter is not getting the frequency signal from the control board of the freezer to say it should run. I am not sure if this variable speed command from the freezer is because the freezer control board is bad or if there is a signal that is not correct coming into the control board that is preventing the control board from sending the proper signal to the inverter to run. I have found online how to get the Freezer into service mode but I can not understand what some of the sensors and loads are correlated to which devices without a service manual. Here is what I get on on the service mode data:

SENS0: -81F
SENS1: -81F
SENS2: -81F
SENS3: -81F
SENS4: 70F
SENS5: 70F
SENS6: 70F
SENS7: 70F
SENS8: 54F ****

****note this one is not a possible temperature as the unit was off for more than a week and if it was a valid temp it would be close to the same 70F temp of the rest of the system. Perhaps if I know what sensor correlates to which SENS* code, I might only have a sensor problem.

I also can not understand what LOAD0 thru LOADxx stand for. Same goes for the sensors and the switches.

Does anyone know what each sensor, load and switches stand for on this Freezer? If anyone has access to a service manual and a wiring diagram, I could also get the information from there. So far, I have not found anywhere where I can get either of these.

Also, if anyone has any ideas of what to check next, this would greatly be appreciated. I have 110v power to the inverter, and the frequency command to start and drive the inverter appears to be around 2-3 volts. This seems to be at rest state. I currently don't have access to an oscilloscope to see if the frequency commands are driven at the right hz.

Any help with this info would greatly be appreciated. Or access to a service manual/wiring diagram would be perfect. Finally, I normally thought the wiring diagram would be stored somewhere on this unit, but I have not yet found it. Anyone know it's location.

Thanks,

Brett
