Gearbox shaft seal p/n for Kenmore 110.92380200?

Hello, I just picked up this mid-90s Kenmore off Craigslist which the lying ass seller said works great. Well it does work, except for one minor problem he somehow neglected to mention: the gearbox is dripping oil. Rather than replace the entire transmission ($$$) I'd rather just take the gearbox apart and replace the seals in it. Can someone help me identify the correct part number(s) for the seals so I don't order the wrong ones? Thank you.

Also what oil do you recommend that isn't priced sky high? What is the proper oil viscosity and fill amount? Not looking forward to paying $30 for 16oz of oil. Thanks in advance.

If your talking about item #21 in the picture it is part number 285352.

Oil is just 90 gear oil.

Not the horizontal shaft, but the vertical shaft; more like part no. 3 I guess, and whatever the corresponding seal is on the other end of the shaft, on both the top and bottom of the gearbox. Although I didn't think about the horizontal shaft seal and it probably should be replaced also while I'm in there.

This seal kit is what pulls up for this washer. Are those three identical seals the ones for the gearbox? What does the fourth seal fit? Or are these something else entirely?

Is "transmission stem seal" the proper terminology for this part? This is the best price I've found: https://www.partselect.com/PS11746747-Whirlpool-WP8577376-Washer-Transmission-Stem-Seal.htm

Can you recommend the supplier to buy stuff like this? partselect.com seems to (usually) have the best prices out of the sites I've found so far.

Thanks for your help.

OK it looks like the "seal and bearing kit" and "transmission stem seal" stuff is part of the tub and not the actual transmission itself. I'm looking into that part number you gave now to try and figure this out.

Alright, I think I may have this figured out, finally.

I had better luck when searching for the part number of the entire transmission assembly, which is 3360630, apparently shared with a number of other washer models. This page right here, while the prices are incredibly high, at least seems to show all the related part numbers for the gearbox:

https://www.partselect.com/Models/1103360630/

There it shows that the input shaft seal is indeed p/n 285352, while the output shaft seal is p/n 3349985 (or WP3349985.)

I guess "WP" means "Whirlpool" so that's who built this washer.

Really incredibly how difficult it is to look up this info. Also amazing at the enormous price differences between different suppliers. There also doesn't seem to be a single web site that has consistently low prices either; they will have a super cheap price on one part and be marked up 200% on other parts.

Now with the proper part numbers confirmed, I can actually begin finding the best prices on these parts...and probably end up having to place 5-6 different orders from different sites.

Needless to say, I won't be paying $30-50+ for 16 oz of what is basically SAE 90W gear oil, LOL! I'll just get a quart of non-detergent synthetic oil from McMaster-Carr for $20.

Thanks for your help!

More details just in case anyone stumbles on this thread later: looks like gearbox p/n 3360630 is also known as 3360629 or 389228. What a clusterfuck...
