Hi

I tried to replace gear case on Maytag top load washer, Model # mvwb765fw2.  I  removed agitator, spaner ring, stator, rotor and all screws from gear case, but still gear case is not dropping, also I tried to remove the inner tub but the tub  didn't come out. Am I missing something need to be open. I  need advise, clips how to disassemble.

thanks

Sound like the gearcase is stuck to the inner tub. Just google your gearcase number W11393685, several video will come up from various parts suppliers.

From your description, yes. Use your favorite penetrating oil on the gearcase shaft and let is soak.
