GE CYE22TSHGSS Fresh food compartment running colder than setting. Meat drawer is freezing foods.

It's been 10 months after I replaced the evaporator fan motor on my GE CYE22TSHGSS and fixed the problem of a warm(er) food compartment and a freezing meat drawer. I didn't replace the Evaporator Cover Assembly (WR17X27084 / AP6246041).

Today, we noticed that the food compartment is running colder than the setting. We set it to 42 and the internal temperature is about 35. The meat drawer is 28. We could see a little ice in the opening of the Evaporator Cover Assembly.

Any recommendations? Should I replace the Evaporator Cover Assembly?

I think it's also worth mentioning that there was a recent power outage in our area.

Perhaps the refrigerator just needs to be reset by power-cycling it through the main breaker?

We did a hard reset and the fresh food compartment seems to be fine now.

But the meat drawer on the bottom is still running cold at 28F.

So I've replaced the evaporator panel cover (which includes the damper fan) and, for good measure, replaced the evaporator fan as well.

It looks like the new evaporator fans are made in China. The older ones were made in Vietnam.

There was again a lot of ice build-up behind the evaporator panel cover and we needed to thaw it out with a hair dryer just to remove the panel.

Let's see if this solves the problem.

So after more than 24 hours with the refrigerator set to 40 and the meat drawer set to 37, the temperatures for both locations are 39 and 32 respectively.

Will advise in the future if the situation changes for the worse.
