Samsung NE58F9710WS Range/Slide In Element Runs Wild instead of holding temp

Once again, I seek advice from the master:

One of the elements/eyes on our stove intermittently runs wild instead of holding a set temp, ie a skillet on low should never run up over 500 degrees according to my thermometer.

I've never worked on a glasstop, but assume there's a thermostat under there somewhere that has gone bad?

Cooktop elements are controlled by a infinite switch. Each element has it's own switch. The switch is probably not regulating the element when turned on. Post which element include the full model and serial numbers for the range.

Model NE58F9710WS/AA

SN: J1927DDDB00679N

It's the right front element, made up of small, medium and large eyes.

The infinite switch is a DG44-01007A sub to DG44-01007B.  Your range is a version 00.

Thank you!

Where do I go for instructions on how to open this beast?  It isn't obvious yet, like a dishwasher would be.
