Thanks Captain. Sure would be nice to be able to know how to test each component. I've got one being very weird.  The customer complaint was no spin. So i put it in diagnostics test 7. (Normal) Lid locks. Spin for 25 seconds while draining water from the tub. When i did this the lid locks and drain pump starts. Then  you can hear the motor trying to spin but it sounds like its in bind. I know the shifter is working properly. One because I watched it engage, but also i could turn the agitator freely and then once I saw it engage the hole drum would spin when I spun the agitator. That tells me the shifter is engaging. I could here it trying to spin so I helped it get started and it began to spin but at a very low RPM. When I picked up the top of the washer with the lid closed and locked it put a little pressure on the wire connections to the lid switch it would get slower and faster. This is why I'm thinking lid lock switch but can't seem to find a way to verify my hypothesis. Only thing I know to do is replace lid lock and hope for the best.if you have any insight that would be great .
