Viking VGIC5302 gas range bad regulator?

Recommended Posts

Posted

We have a Viking VGIC5302 gas range that came with our place. In the last couple weeks I’ve noticed that it seems to have trouble igniting, and when it does ignite the flame is very low even on the High setting. Over the course of about a minute the flame slowly builds to normal.

This happens on all four burners. The oven also seems to have trouble igniting and staying lit. If I have one burner going and then turn on a second one, the first burner flame gets smaller.

I think this is a broken gas regulator but I’m not sure how to proceed. I’m happy to call someone, but if there’s a simple thing I need to clean or adjust I’m happy to try that first. Thanks for any help!
