Fixitnow.com Radio: The Whole Sick Social Web Trip

Posted by Samurai Appliance Repair Man, in Podcast 27 March 2012 · 755 views

podcast radio social web
Listen in on Samurai Appliance Repair Man and Mrs. Samurai having an honest discussion on the pros and cons of using social media, like Facebook and Twitter, as a venue for promoting a business. How useful is social media for communicating with existing customers or users and how effective is it for reaching out to new people? (show duration: 10 minutes)

(I tried to post the audio player here but the forum software doesn't play nice with it so I posted the link to this post at Fixitnow.com where you can listen to the podcast there. Sorry for the inconvenience!)

Nothing happens when I press the play button
Yeah, the forum software messes with the player. I edited the original post so it links over to the original post at Fixitnow.com where the player works nicely. Here's the link ==> http://fixitnow.com/...ocial-web-trip/
I don't like (or get) Fakebook either, when I try to "like" something - I am prompted for my Fakebook login password and then it just pastes whatever I was looking at onto my running scroll of activity, is that what it means to like something??
I "liken" (if you'll pardon the pun) Fakebook unto Romper Room. It's an uber-controlled environment where Big Brother is watching and recording everything you do. Creeps me out a bit.

Mrs. Samurai, OTOH, actually likes it. She does most of the posts and interactions at our Fakebook page.
I can't believe some of the things folks will actually post there for all to see !
I know! Many people are tragically, sometimes fatally naive when they should be on guard, yet inappropriately suspicious when they should be trusting.
Who's calling ?
Ezzacly! ;)
